The Statistical Analysis of Large pharma daTasets (SALT) consortium is open to large pharma companies to join provided their contribution to the dataset is considered equivalent to others in the consortium. Equivalence is decided by a scientific coordination group of all members. The consortium also serves as a forum to discuss new science and ideas to advance knowledge-based design for the benefit of all. Given the attrition in late-stage trials caused by adverse drug reactions, the sharing of in vitro safety assays is particularly valuable.
